Opportunities to Get Involved with Neighborhood Safety

Get involved with SOSNA and Town Watch to increase safety in our neighborhood! Outlined below is an overview of opportunities to learn more about and get involved with neighborhood safety:

EVERY FOURTH THURSDAY, 6:30pm, SOSNA Office, 1901 Christian Street
This is an opportunity to speak face-to-face with an officer from our police district. You will hear about recent crime activity and have the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns.

Join your neighbors to work on safety initiatives such as safe streets, walkability, police partnerships, bike registry, etc. We recently planned the Light Up the Night event for National Night Out and will be holding an upcoming bike registry event with the police.

Town Watch is a volunteer organization made up of neighbors in the South of South neighborhood, including both homeowners and renters. Our primary mission is to patrol the neighborhoods in which our members live and be the “eyes and ears” for the community. Town Watch members walk (in 2-3 person patrols) the neighborhood and report quality of life issues (using 311, 911, L&I, etc.). Participants are welcome to bring their dog on patrols!
