Statement on Demolition of 2400 South Street

This just in from Toll Brothers as they begin to take down the existing structures at 2400 South Street . . .

Toll Brothers has commenced demolition of the parking garage/warehouses at the corner of 24th and South Street. Work will be undertaken with a hydraulic grapple (basically a large "claw"). There will be no explosives used in the demolition and we anticipate this will result in no negative impact on the neighboring properties outside of the noise of construction activity. The first buildings to be demolished will be the surrounding single-story warehouse buildings and last the parking structure. At this time we are scheduled to complete the demolition work by July 1st. The curb parking and sidewalks immediately surrounding the site will be closed until demolition is completed for safety reasons.

Demolition will take place Monday thru Friday from 7am till 4:30pm. We will take measures during demolition to minimize dust and we do not anticipate any detrimental impacts to neighbors.
