Bloktoberfest Donates $10,000 Back to the Community

Last night at Bob & Barbara's, the Bloktoberfest Planning Committee presented $10,000 in proceeds back to the community.  This matches the donations of the two previous years combined! This year, the proceeds go to benefit the public school children of our neighborhood, specifically through supporting non-profit organizations, including the Friends of Chester A. Arthur School, Bainbridge House (which provides arts, music and cultural programming to E.M. Stanton), and Mighty Writers.  Also, some of the proceeds went to Blotkoberfest's yearly partner, the Shiloh Baptist Church.

In addition to representatives from these great organizations, many of the event's sponsors were on-hand as well.  These included the South of South Neighborhood Association (SOSNA), Bella Vista Beer Distributor, the South Street West Business Association (SSWBA), and more.
