The Triangles On Grays Ferry Avenue Gateway Project

Welcome to the Grays Ferry Avenue Triangles Committee. We are a team of neighbors and businesses committed to improving the triangular spaces along Grays Ferry Avenue, most notably the small Catharine Thorn Park in front of South Square Market at 23rd and South Streets.

We hold monthly clean-ups, organize big annual events like Plazapalooza, and meet at the SOSNA Office at 8:15pm the second Tuesday of every month – you’re welcome to join us!

Our big push now is to expand the Catharine Thorn Park in front of South Square Market by reclaiming an under-utilized portion of Grays Ferry Avenue. We believe that this would be a great community space and a boon to local businesses, and perhaps most importantly would improve the safety of what can be a confusing intersection.

We are cognizant of the need to maintain loading areas and street parking, and believe our vision achieves both while providing a beautiful greenspace in a neighborhood that sorely needs it.

We’re fundraising right now and in discussions with City leaders about making this vision a reality. Every contribution will help.

You can also LIKE us on Facebook and of course, are always welcome at any of our meetings.
