Recycling
The City is vigorously ticketing people who do not recycle or put recycling out properly. Recycling MUST BE IN A RIGID CONTAINER - either metal or plastic - labeled "RECYCLING". The SOSNA office distributes the sticker (above) to place on your container. Use an old laundry basket, trash can or anything as your bin - it does not have to be the old city-issued blue bin. DO NOT PUT OUT RECYCLING IN BROWN PAPER OR PLASTIC BAGS. IT WILL NOT BE PICKED UP AND YOU WILL GET A $50 TICKET!! Also, sign up for Philly's new RECYCLING REWARDS PROGRAM (visit www.phillyrecyclingpays.com to sign up and learn about the process). By signing up you will receive points every time you recycle; points redeemable at area businesses. |
